MEET THE BAND

KARL XAVIER BASHFORD has been playing in bands since the mid 80s. His first band Apostrophe included his life-long bass player Karl Wood. In the early 90s he was a pioneer of the solo singer/guitarist in pubs and clubs all over the South Coast regularly playing over 200 gigs a year. He formed the first KXB band in the mid 90s with various drummers, rhythm guitarists and percussionists but maintains that this current line up is the ultimate.

KARL WOOD has been playing bass with Karl Bashford since 1987, in a band called ‘Apostrophe’. In the 90s, the group changed their name to KXB with a shake up of new members and influences. Wood’s influences are; alcohol, punk rock, late nights, and the early Cubist movement.

DAVID ZIGGY was a childhood star, playing drums from the age of 7. When he was 13 years old he appeared on Thames Television's Opportunity Knocks with Hughie Green, in the family group The Samsons, with his Father and Brother. The following decades have seen David touring Europe, New York, Key West and of course the UK with many bands such as the Rock Reggae Band 'Going Straight' The Blues Brothers Show and backing many touring jazz singers. One afternoon David received and urgent call to step in as the drummer for KXB with 2 hours notice as the regular drummer could not make it. He decided to stay and 12 years on, he's still playing with them
